ऑस्टिन मराठी शाळा - शिवजयंती २०२५
​

प्रौढ प्रताप पुरंदर, क्षत्रिय कुलावतंस, सिंहासनाधीश्वर, महाराजाधिराज महाराज श्रीमंत श्री छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज की जय!

For the very first time Austin Marathi Mandal and Austin Marathi Shala is bringing to you a play by our shala community -"जावळीच्या दऱ्याखोऱ्यात” on the occassion of ShivJayanti celebration on March 15, 2025 at the North Point Auditorium.

We also have “Diversity Band” performing Dhol Tasha at our event. This is the very first time Diversity Band will be performing at an AMM event. We look forward to their performance. 

Our Shala community is getting all prep’d up for this Mahanatya.

Our special thanks to Sujit Sathe (ex-president Dallas Forth Worth Maharashtra Mandal) for his encouragement to Austin Marathi Mandal for celebrating Shivjayanti. He plays an instrumental role from being the script writer to directing us to helping us from Dallas in getting this Mahanatya together. He will be here on the day of Shivjayanti and the कथाकथन will be performed by him.

On the same day, at same venue we will be celebrating मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन. Austin Marathi Shala students will be singing Marathi songs suitable to the occasion.

We are also celebrating March 2025 being National Women’s History month. AMM Maitreyi will be scheduling 3 seminars on women in leadership & women’s health during the month.

On this occasion, we are inviting entries from women owned small businesses (AMM Members only) to setup their stall at AMM Shiv Jayanti event at no additional cost (event entry tickets needed). तात्या साहेब पॅरिसला विमानाने जात आहेत. हा प्रवास खूपच प्रदीर्घ आहे. या प्रवासात ते त्यांचे मुंबईत असलेले मित्र माधवराव यांना पत्र लिहू लागतात. अशा प्रकारे दोन मित्रांमधील हस्तलिखित पत्रांची भेट सुरू होते. त्यांच्या सभोवतालच्या बदलत्या काळाचा, त्यांच्या काळातल्या विचारसारणीनुसार अर्थ लावण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. दोन मित्रांच्या निखळ निरागसतेमुळे ही पत्रे खूप  मजेदार होतात. नाट्यलेखक दिलीप प्रभावळकर यांनी तात्यासाहेब आणि माधवराव यांचे जग आणि त्यामधील मजेदार घटना आणि मनोरंजक पद्धतीने मांडल्या आहेत. मारियो मिरांडा यांच्या व्यंगचित्रा सारखेच क्लिष्ट आणि मनोरंजक आहे. निखळ विनोदी पद्धतीने कळप मानसिकतेच्या मूर्खपणावर भाष्य करते. तर कधी मार्मिकपणे विचार मांडते.  बदलत्या काळानुसार त्याचा सामना करणाऱ्या दोन वृद्ध मित्रांची एक गोड कथा आहे. नाटकीय वाचन आणि सादरीकरणाची सुंदर गुंफण या नाटकात करण्यात आली आहे. दोन दिग्गज अभिनेत्यांनी ही दोन पात्रं, त्यांचे जग कथानकाने अक्षरश: जिवंत केले आहे.​

Anand Melava (Food Festival): जीभ आणि माणसाचं फार जुनं नातं आहे. अरे चमचमीत आणि खुसखुशीत खायला कुणाला आवडत नाही? वडा पाव हा तर मराठी माणसाचा प्राण. तर मिसळ वर जीव कुर्बान. तर अशाच व इतर आपल्या महाराष्ट्रीयन व इतर पदार्थांसाठी आम्ही घेऊन येत आहोत आनंद मेळावा. हा आहे तुमचा आमचा सर्वांचा मेळावा. Celebrating us. आपल्यापैकी ज्यांना त्यांचे culinary skills ऑस्टिन community सोबत share करायचे असतील त्यांनी या मेळाव्यात नक्की सहभागी व्हावे. “Anand Melava” is celebration of culinary delights, a celebration that brings “Food Enthusiasts” and  “Amazing Chefs” together in a vibrant and delectable event. A festival showcasing a diverse range of innovative dishes, traditional flavors, creating a feast for the senses. AMM Fashion Show: Celebrating "मराठमोळा पोषाख" in our unique Marathi fashion show. So get into your closets, find your favorite पैठणी, शालू, धोतर, शेरवानी, फेटा, पगडी and much more.
