AMM History
Austin Marathi Mandal (AMM) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization (EIN 47-0882928). AMM was established over 29 years ago and continues to strive and expand its programs and membership within Austin Marathi community. AMM is committed to fostering cultural, charitable, educational and literary activities by bringing together the Indian American community. AMM has a member base of 150+ families and AMM communication is reaches to over 750 active email accounts. Historically, events organized by AMM attracts average of 300 attendees for variety of events.
Mission
Our mission is to organize cultural events for the Indian American 'Marathi' speaking community, foster community engagement either by volunteer activities or supporting likeminded social organizations, fundraising to promote our culture and traditions in Austin. Our goal is to strengthen Maharashtrian/Indian cultural roots among the next generation of Marathi community.
What we do
Presently, AMM’s yearly activities consist of organizing 6-7 events including cultural programs, traditional arts and music concerts and lots of fun activities for all ages. In addition, AMM publishes an annual magazine called ‘Snehadeep’ during November-December timeframe each year. AMM also hosts a Sunday school to teach Marathi language, which is attended by about 100 students across our 3 branches.
We heavily rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for their support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those in our community.

2. First come first serve, first 5 requests will be processed every month. Pending requests will be processed in following month, based on the request priority.

4. Content verification will be done by AMM committee and final rights of sharing via email/social media post will be with AMM committee.
